Dear Family and Friends,
What a crazy transfer week! First off, I was released from my calling as sister training leader. I thought I would get to relax a little, but I actually had the craziest week so far!
We got to help our investigator get married! It was simple but cute, and a lot of her family and friends came to see the ceremony. It was amazing to see the light come on in her and her husband`s eyes as they realized they were now really officially married, and that they now had the keys to have a house full of unity and love. I know that it seems like a very simple thing to do, but I testify that marriage is ordained of God, and that He has given us marriage so that we can have happy families.
Now, her goal is to go to the temple, first by herself, and someday, with her husband to be sealed for even after this life! That is the great thing about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – we believe that families, if married in a temple of God by someone who has the authority of God, can be together not just until death due you part, but even afterwards. God has put us into families to help and has given us the capacity to love and care for others for a reason, not just to take it away once we die. I know this is true, and I know that families really are meant to last forever.
I wanted to put a scripture up, but can`t get onto the Lds website 😦
But I testify that in temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we have the power to seal families together. This power was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith, so that God can continue blessing those who are obedient and humble enough to do His will.
I love you all, have a great week and don`t lose faith!
