Dear Family and Friends,
This week we did our best to be able to go out with members, and we actually went out with a new member every day of the week! It was a lot of fun.
I`ll be brief, because I don`t have a ton of time, but we had two new investigators in church, we are working hard to reactivate a family, and we are having a ton of fun 🙂
We had the great opportunity to see two people we contacted about a month ago get baptized. Although they moved into the elder`s area a few weeks ago, we were happy to see them make a decision that will bless them for the rest of eternity!
My thought for this week:
“And it cam eto psas that none recieved authority to preach or to teach except it were by him from God. Therefore heconsecrated all their priests and all their teachers, and none were consecrated except they were just men.
Therefore they did watch over their people and did nourish them with things pertaining to righteousness” Mosiah 23: 17-18
What I love about this scripture is that it talks about the authority we as missionaries have to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it also reminds me that this is what is different about our church. We believe that we really have the authority of God to carry our sacred ordinances, which are physical acts we do that show our inner devotion to God, like baptism. I think it is amazing that we literally have God`s approval to do those things, and also to know that our church leaders have the permission of God to help us repent and change the things in our lives that we don`t do according to God`s will.
I testify that this is true. If anyone has anything they need to change, I encourage them to talk to the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I promise you it will help. There is nothing more important that being clean from our sins.
